1. Steve Austin defeated Marc Mero by pinfall
***Match of the Night***
This was a really good match that showcased both guys well. I know Mick Foley usually is very critical of Mero, but I thought he always put on solid matches. That Austin guy, I think he's going to be a star.
Rating: 3.75 (out of 5)
2. Jake Roberts defeated Vader by disqualification
This was just an excuse to put Roberts over as an underdog and Vader as a monster. Not much of a match.
Rating: .5
3. The Smoking Gunns defeated The Godwins by pinfall
This era of tag team wrestling sucked big time, but I'd have to say this is the best match of this era (at least that I can remember).
Rating: 2.25
4. Ultimate Warrior defeated Jerry Lawler by pinfall
This was just a pointless squash to get Warrior on the card.
Rating: .25
5. Mankind defeated Undertaker by pinfall
I haven't seen a lot of good reviews on this match, but I thought it was really good. This was one of the first hardcore matches in WWF/E and these guys always had good chemistry.
Rating: 3.75
6. Ahmed Johnson defeated Goldust by pinfall to win the Intercontinental Championship
This was much better than expected, but still slow and sloppy at points. However, the crowd was into it and they gave a good effort.
Rating: 1.25
7. Steve Austin defeated Jake Roberts by pinfall to win the King of the Ring
This wasn't much of a match, but a huge historical moment that changed wrestling forever.
Rating: .25
8. Shawn Michaels defeated British Bulldog by pinfall
Yet another good match by Michaels in 1996. It's crazy that he's almost as consistent in 2009.
Rating: 3.5
I have only seen parts of this show before and honestly wasn't dying to see it again. However, there were three good matches on the card and one of the most important moments in WWF/E history on it. Much better than expected.

Unforgiven 2008
1. Matt Hardy defeated Miz, Chavo Guerrero, Finlay, and Mark Henry to win the ECW Championship
This was the first of three Scramble Matches on the night and this one was very solid. They did the right thing by letting Hardy win and I think that Chavo was the unsung hero of the match.
Rating: 3.25 (out of 5)
2. Priceless defeated Cryme Tyme by pinfall
This was given a good amount of time and because of that they were able to tell a story, rather than rush. While this is nothing that you should go out of your way to see, the match was actually pretty good.
Rating: 2.25
3. Shawn Michaels defeated Chris Jericho by decision
***Match of the Night***
Well, this was fricken awesome. This was an all out brawl that actually felt like it meant something, a rarity in the WWE these days. Both guys were in top form and beat each other senseless. This was the best match of their series up to this point.
Rating: 4.25
4. Triple H defeated MVP, Shelton Benjamin, The Brian Kendrick, and Jeff Hardy by pinfall
This was without a doubt the best Scramble Match of the night. You had three guys trying to prove they belong in a high profile match and I think that really helped the quality of this match. Kendrick was awesome and unfortunately they did not capitalize on this performance.
Rating: 3.75
5. Michelle McCool defeated Maryse by pinfall
This was far from horrible, but nothing special. It didn't feel as scripted as some other Diva matches, so that's a plus.
Rating: .75
6. Chris Jericho defeated Kane, Batista, Rey Mysterio, and JBL by pinfall to win the World Heavyweight Championship
This was a bit sluggish, which is not surprising considering three of the men in this match are not known for their work rate. However, the surprise itself of Chris Jericho walking out with the title, makes this a significant match.
Rating: 2.25
With only six matches on the card, and three of them Scramble Matches, there wasn't a whole lot of room for error. However, I feel that everyone stepped it up and gave a great effort on this show. Thumbs up.

WrestleMania XV
1. Hardcore Holly defeated Billy Gunn and Al Snow by pinfall to win the Hardcore Championship
This was actually better than I remembered. All three guys gave a good effort and it was an okay way to start off the show.
Rating: 2.5
2. Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett defeated Test and D-Lo Brown by pinfall
This was one of Vince Russo's great ideas. Let's have two guys win a battle royal and tag with one another at the biggest show of the year. Yeah, but no thanks.
Rating: 1.25
3. Butterbean defeated Bart Gunn by knockout
And there goes Bart Gunn's career...
Rating: N/R (Boxing Match)
4. Mankind defeated Big Show by disqualification
This was more of a storyline than a match, but not bad for what it was.
Rating: 1.75
5. Road Dogg defeated Goldust, Val Venis, and Ken Shamrock by pinfall
This was just an okay Raw-type match. Road Dogg sucks.
Rating: 1.75
6. Kane defeated Triple H by disqualification
This was a total snoozefest. Triple H was really getting in a groove around this time, but you would never know it from watching this match.
Rating: .75
7. Sable defeated Torrie by pinfall
Absolutely horrible.
Rating: 0
8. Shane McMahon defeated X-Pac by pinfall
This was a real good match. Both guys kept up a quick pace and it paid off.
Rating: 3.5
9. Undertaker defeated Big Boss Man by pinfall
Among the worst matches in WrestleMania history. Who really thought that the Boss Man would stand a chance. Poor booking choice.
Rating: 0
10. Steve Austin defeated The Rock by pinfall
***Match of the Night***
Another great Steve Austin brawl. It helped that The Rock was his opponent and these two tore it up. Good end to the show.
Rating: 4
Well, this show contains a great main event and one good match. Unfortunately, it also contains two of the worst matches I've ever seen. All of the rest is just pretty average.

Royal Rumble 1999
1. Big Boss Man defeated Road Dogg by pinfall
Well, I can't think of a much worse way to start a show. Although, at the same time, the undercard of this show is horrible. Bad match.
Rating: .5 (out of 5)
2. Ken Shamrock defeated Billy Gunn by submission
Another dull match. Shamrock was pretty solid by this point, but Gunn was not very impressive here.
Rating: 1
3. X-Pac defeated Gangrel by pinfall
This was sloppy, but spirited. It never really got time to develop and if it had, I can guarantee it would have been better than the first two matches. Yes, I know Gangrel was not a good worker, but neither are either of the Outlaws.
Rating: 1
4. Sable defeated Luna in a Strap Match
Big surprise...another bad match!
Rating: .25
5. The Rock defeated Mankind in an I Quit Match
***Match Of The Night***
Now this is more like it. Great late-90s WWF brawl between two of the most entertaining stars ever. The ending is just sickening to watch, but also one of the more memorable moments of the attitude era. Mick Foley, you are a sick man.
Rating: 4
6. Vince McMahon won the Royal Rumble
This was dominated by the Austin/McMahon storyline, but no one else really stepped up and made a name for themselves. Not enough credible contenders made this just okay.
Rating: 2
Well, this show pretty much sucks with the exception of the title match. Without that match, you're looking at one of the worst major shows in WWE/F history.
