1. Spike Dudley defeated Rey Mysterio, Billy Kidman, and Chavo Guerrero by pinfall
This was a really good match and it was nice to see them get a little bit of time. Spike was probably the least deserving to win, but at least they were trying to get him over as a heel.
Rating: 3.5
2. Shelton Benjamin defeated Christian by pinfall
I would have thought that these two would be headlining pay-per-views by now, but unfortunately that's not the case. Still, these two can go and it was fun watching them here.
Rating: 3.5
3. John Cena, Eddie Guerrero, Big Show, and Rob Van Dam defeated Kurt Angle, Luther Reigns, Mark Jindrak, and Carlito by pinfall
It's a crime that this was so short. Not that it would have been a classic or anything, but it sure would have been good stuff. At least the opening matches got some time.
Survivors: John Cena, Eddie Guerrero, Big Show
Rating: 2.25
4. Undertaker defeated Heidenreich by pinfall
Again, this was better than expected, but I don't understand why Undertaker won so convincingly. Why put a guy like Heidenreich in there and have him lose? It certainly didn't help his career any.
Rating: 1.25
5. Trish Stratus defeated Lita by disqualification
This was just a storyline, not a match.
Rating: .25
6. JBL defeated Booker T by pinfall
I don't think many people thought Booker was going to win, but this was a pretty good effort from the two veterans. They had a lot more chemistry than you would think.
Rating: 2.75
7. Randy Orton, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, + Maven defeated Triple H, Edge, Snitsky, + Batista by pinfall
***Match Of The Night***
This was another good Survivor Series main event. Not quite as good as 2003's, but still a really good match that made Orton look like a star.
Survivor: Randy Orton
Rating: 3.5
Well, I liked this show, but I didn't love it. Three matches were at the 3.5 mark, which is good, but it certainly doesn't make for a classic. I doubt you will be bored with this one, with really only one match worth skipping.

Taboo Tuesday 2004
1. Shelton Benjamin defeated Chris Jericho by pinfall to win the Intercontinental Championship
It baffles me how Benjamin isn't a star. He was getting good pops at this time and was putting on good matches. It's a shame that he's a jobber to the stars these days.
Rating: 3.25 (out of 5)
2. Trish Stratus defeated Nidia, Gail Kim, Victoria, Jazz, Stacy, and Molly Holly in a Battle Royal
This was just an excuse to look at the divas.
Rating: .5
3. Snitsky defeated Kane by pinfall
This was much better than I think anyone expected, even if it was a tad on the long side. Still, this is actually decent.
Rating: 2
4. Eugene defeated Eric Bischoff by pinfall
WWE loved embarassing Bischoff, but this is a waste to put it on a pay-per-view. Next.
Rating: 0
5. Chris Benoit + Edge defeated La Resistance by pinfall to win the Tag Team Championships
This was a solid match, but it was more about getting Edge over as a heel. I'm not sure if you heard, but that worked out pretty well for him.
Rating: 2.75
6. Christy Hemme defeated Carmella by pinfall
This was another great example of how to waste pay-per-view time. Why?
Rating: 0
7. Triple H defeated Shawn Michaels by pinfall
I probably have this overrated, but it's hard not to watch this and think how amazing it is that Shawn Michaels actually survived this match. There is no way he should have even been out there.
Rating: 3
8. Randy Orton defeated Ric Flair by pinfall
***Match Of The Night***
This is a great cage match, even if it is much too short. This is one of Flair's best matches of his WWE tenure.
Rating: 4
Well, this one was full of peaks and valleys. Two terrible matches that are among the worst in WWE pay-per-view history. Then there is the the great cage match, the heroic effort by Shawn Michaels, and a fun opener in Jericho/Benjamin. Definitely not a great show by any means, but they invented fast forward for a reason. Use it on this one.

Unforgiven 2004
1. Chris Benoit + William Regal defeated Ric Flair + Batista by submission
Now this was a good tag team match. Batista was showing signs of improvement, but watching the three veterans in there was good fun.
Rating: 3.25 (out of 5)
2. Trish Stratus defeated Victoria by pinfall
This was a real solid wrestling match here. Trish's character development really help put her over as someone you wanted to watch in the ring.
Rating: 2.25
3. Tomko defeated Stevie Richards by pinfall
Unfortunately, that led to this. Why the referee let this go on so long is beyond me? The crowd turned on the angle within seconds and this was just torture to watch.

4. Chris Jericho defeated Christian in a Ladder Match to win the Intercontinental Championship
***Match Of The Night***
This match doesn't get nearly the credit it deserves. Okay, it's obvious that I love both of these guys, but still, just because they didn't have any death defying spots, doesn't mean this doesn't rule.
Rating: 4
5. Shawn Michaels defeated Kane by pinfall
Does Shawn Michaels ever have bad matches? There certainly aren't many.
Rating: 3
6. La Resistance defeated Tajiri + Rhyno by pinfall
Hey, another pretty good tag match. I actually really liked the team of Tajiri + Rhyno. It's just too bad they never did anything with them.
Rating: 2
7. Triple H defeated Randy Orton by pinfall to win the World Heavyweight Championship
And just like that, the Orton era is over. This was an okay match and their first of many over the years.
Rating: 2.5
Well, minus the one absolutely horrible match, this was actually a pretty good show. Raw was the better show at this time, but that isn't saying much because this was the low point for Smackdown. However, everyone brought their working shoes and put on a solid Raw-only show.

SummerSlam 2004
1. The Dudleyz defeated Rey Mysterio, Paul London, + Billy Kidman by pinfall
This was a fun opener, but as usual, much too short. Still, a good match including some guys that deserved to be on the second biggest show of the year.
Rating: 2.5 (out of 5)

I'm not quite sure why Batista had to be involved, but this was good stuff. Edge was just starting to come back from his injury and Jericho was Jericho.

This will forever be Eugene's shining moment. This is a good example of Triple H making his opponent look good even though he still comes out victorious. This is also a good example of where Triple H should have gone over.
