SummerSlam 2008

1. MVP defeated Jeff Hardy by pinfall

This was a good opener that had some good effort in it. MVP looked a little slow at times, but he continues to improve.

Rating: 2.75

2. Santino Marella and Beth Phoenix defeated Kofi Kingston and Mickie James by pinfall to win the Intercontinental Championship and Womens Championship

This was a fun, Raw-type match. And I mean that in a good way.

Rating: 2

3. Matt Hardy defeated Mark Henry by disqualification

This was insulting to both the fans and the wrestlers involved.

Rating: 0

4. CM Punk defeated JBL by pinfall

Never in a million years would I have expected these two guys to have as good of chemistry as they showed they had in this match. Solid match.

Rating: 3

5. Triple H defeated Great Khali by pinfall

This could have been a lot worse, but also should have been shorter. Not much else to say.

Rating: .75

6. Batista defeated John Cena by pinfall

This was just a fun WWE main event. No other promotion seems to be able to pull off matches like this. Whether you like these guys or not, they put on a good show.

Rating: 4

7. Undertaker defeated Edge by pinfall

***Match of the Night***

This was a brutal match filled with the intensity one would expect in a Hell in a Cell match. Edge is a great performer who never gets old as a heel.

Rating: 4.25

Well, the final two matches were both great. The undercard was all pretty solid, with the exception of the worst booked match of the year (Henry/Hardy). Some people were a little hard on this show, but I think it definitely deserves a look. Good stuff.

SummerSlam 1998

1. D-Lo Brown defeated Val Venis by disqualification

These guys gave a heck of an effort and definitely delivered on their opportunity. The silly finish hurt this a tad, but there is no denying the effort.

Rating: 3.25

2. The Oddities defeated Kaientai by pinfall

This may be the worst match I've ever seen. Wow.

Rating: 0

3. X-Pac defeated Jeff Jarrett by pinfall

This was another solid match between two guys who were fighting to make their way up the card.

Rating: 3

4. Edge and Sable defeated Marc Mero and Jaqueline by pinfall

This was decent, but tried to imitate the much more entertaining WrestleMania match a little too much. Still, not a bad match.

Rating: 1.75

5. Ken Shamrock defeated Owen Hart by submission

This was a neat idea, even if UFC wasn't too popular at this point. It's too bad they didn't do anymore of these (at least that I can remember).

Rating: 3

6. The New Age Outlaws defeated Mankind by pinfall to win the Tag Team Championships

This was a good effort by Foley, but ultimately too short to be anything special.

Rating: 2

7. Triple H defeated The Rock in a ladder match to win the Intercontinental Championship

***Match Of The Night ***

This was a star making performance for these two legends. The crowd was very into this match and for good reason. Great stuff.

Rating: 4

8. Steve Austin defeated Undertaker by pinfall

This was your typical brawling main event like only Austin can deliver. However, the ending was kind of out of nowhere, making the finish a little anticlimatic. This was a good main event otherwise.

Rating: 3.5

Well, this was an awesome show. If you take out the one horrible match, everything else was good to great. 5 of the 8 matches get a 3 or better, which automatically makes this show awesome.

Rating: 90%

WrestleMania XIV

1. Legion Of Doom won a battle royal

Well this, like most battle royals, was pretty bad. They kept it short and it is best forgotten, except Sunny's outfit that is.

Rating: .25 (out of 5)

2. TAKA Michinoku defeated Aguila by pinfall

This was sort of an exhibition type match, where both guys showed off what they could do. Oddly enough, Aguila got more of the exciting offense in.

Rating: 2.5

3. Triple H defeated Owen Hart by pinfall

This was a solid little match where you could see flashes of Triple H becoming a main eventer.

Rating: 3.5

4. Marc Mero and Sable defeated Goldust and Luna by pinfall

This is a very underrated match. Sure, it's no technical classic, but the crowd was way into it and all 4 performers gave a great effort. This is what I'd consider a popcorn match.

Rating: 3.5

5. The Rock defeated Ken Shamrock by disqualification

I have no idea why these guys got shafted on time because they could have put a good match on. What was here, was solid.

Rating: 2.5

6. Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie defeated The New Age Outlaws to win the Tag Team Championships

This match has not aged well. It's still fun to see Funk and Foley in the same match, but this seems very tame.

Rating: 2.25

7. Undertaker defeated Kane by pinfall

This was actually quite a bit better than I remembered. It was a typical big man match, but a well thought out one.

Rating: 1.5

8. Steve Austin defeated Shawn Michaels by pinfall to win the WWF Championship

***Match Of The Night***

Wow, what a match. Especially once you find out how much pain Michaels was in, you appreciate this even more. A perfect ending to the year's biggest show.

Rating: 4.5

Well, this show is really the one that put WWF ahead of WCW. The show had a good pace to it and the main event more than delivered. Big thumbs up here.

Royal Rumble 1998

1. Vader defeated Goldust by pinfall

This was a solid match, but unspectacular. However, the Vader Bomb with Luna on his back was pretty sweet. I miss Vader.

Rating: 1.75 (out of 5)

2. Max Mini, Mosaic, and Nova defeated Battallion, El Torito, and Tarantula by pinfall

This was actually one of the better little people matches I've seen. The crowd could have cared less, however.

Rating: 1

3. The Rock defeated Ken Shamrock by disqualification

These two always had pretty good chemistry with one another. However, the screwy ending kind of ruins their effort.

Rating: 2.75

4. Legion Of Doom defeated New Age Outlaws by disqualification

This was more of a story than a match, but I have to say all 4 guys really gave a great effort, which I would have never expected. Two disqualifications on a major show is not really necessary.

Rating: 1.25

5. Steve Austin won the Royal Rumble

This is one of the weakest Rumbles in terms of star power. There are some good moments (Foley/Funk, Foley's three entrances, Austin's arrival), but not one of the best ever.

Rating: 2.75

6. Shawn Michaels defeated Undertaker by placing him in the casket

***Match Of The Night***

This was not as good as their other two matches, but it was still darn good. It was just the screwy booking that hurt this one. Michaels was bumping all over the place and it's no wonder why he retired shortly after.

Rating: 3.75

This is one of those shows that is entertaining, but far from great. Michaels put in a great effort, as did Austin, Rock, and Foley, but the booking was not on the mark.

Overall Rating: 65%

SummerSlam 1997

1. Mankind defeated Hunter Hearst Helmsley by escaping the cage

Real good opener, even if the crowd wasn't really into it until the end. These guys gave us an old-fashioned, blue bar cage match that they can be proud of. The door slam on Mick Foley's head was sickening. He is a sick man.

Rating: 3.75 (out of 5)

2. Goldust defeated Brian Pillman by pinfall

This was pretty standard stuff that was carried by two great characters. The botched ending gave this a bad aftertaste, however.

Rating: 1

3. Legion Of Doom defeated The Godwinns by pinfall

Good lord, was this bad. At this point, the Godwinns were beyond bad. It's amazing they had a job for as long as they did.

Rating: .25

4. The British Bulldog defeated Ken Shamrock by disqualification

Disappointing match, as Shamrock wasn't that good yet and Bulldog wasn't the guy to carry him to a good match.

Rating: .75

5. Los Boricuas defeated DOA by pinfall

Despite this feud going on forever, most people have erased it from memory. I can't blame them.
Rating: .25

6. Steve Austin defeated Owen Hart by pinfall to win the Intercontinental Championship

Man, this match was pretty darn good until the injury. Austin was so over, it was crazy and this injury managed to make him even bigger.

Rating: 3.5

7. Bret Hart defeated Undertaker by pinfall to win the WWF Championship

***Match Of The Night***

Unfortunately, this is the last pay-per-view that I have on DVD with Bret Hart on it. Bret was so effective as a heel in this match and the crowd ate it up. This was his last world title reign in the WWF and a very memorable one, to say the least.

Rating: 4

Well 3 out of 7 matches are very good, which automatically makes this a good show. However, the other 4 matches stink up the house, which disqualifies this show from classic status. Still, pretty solid stuff at a time where the WWF was gaining some serious momentum.

WrestleMania 13

1. The Headbangers defeated The Godwinns, The New Blackjacks, and Furnas and Lafon by pinfall

This was an absolutely dreadful opener. This was as sloppy as they come and the crowd wasn't very into it, which is never a good thing when it's the opening match.

Rating: .25

2. Rocky Maivia defeated The Sultan by pinfall

These two guys went on to bigger things (well, mostly The Rock), but this was not good. What a terrible start to your biggest show of the year.

Rating: .5

3. Hunter Hearst Helmsley defeated Goldust by pinfall

This was decent, but not as good as their Royal Rumble match. The ending was hot, making it seem better than it was.

Rating: 1.75

4. Owen Hart and British Bulldog and Vader and Mankind wrestled to a double countout

This show would have been a lot better if they would have just given the title to Vader or Mankind and had them fight the Undertaker. This is a rare heel vs. heel match that seemed to occur because they had nothing better for these guys to do, which is a shame.

Rating: 2.25

5. Bret Hart defeated Steve Austin by ref stoppage

***Match Of The Night***

This is, in my opinion, still the greatest match I've ever seen. The workrate is just phenomenal, the crowd was hot, and the finish is legendary. Rarely is a star made because of a loss, but Steve Austin defied the logic.

Rating: 5

6. Legion Of Doom and Ahmed Johnson defeated The Nation Of Domination by pinfall

This was fun for awhile, then outwore it's welcome. They all seemed to run out of ideas, with the exception of Faarooq. Another sloppy match.

Rating: 1.5

7. Undertaker defeated Sid by pinfall to win the WWF Championship

The crowd was not very into this match, which is rare for an Undertaker match. Really the only thing memorable during the match are the Bret Hart run-ins.

Rating: .5

Well, this would be the definition of a one match show. With this being WrestleMania, that is just not acceptable, even if that one match is my favorite match of all time. Fortunately, WWF would go on to have much better shows in the near future.

This Tuesday In Texas

1. Bret Hart defeated Skinner by submission

Skinner just got way too much offense in this match and it wasn't enjoyable offense. It's not a good sign when the Bret Hart match on the card isn't good.

Rating: 1 (out of 5)

2. Randy Savage defeated Jake Roberts by pinfall

This was a hot match, but way too short for a feud this big. Why not give them 15 minutes?

Rating: 1.25

3. British Bulldog defeated Warlord by pinfall

For some reason this match got over ten minutes and it was nowhere near as good as their WrestleMania match.

Rating: .5

4. Ted Dibiase and Repo Man defeated Tito Santana and Virgil by pinfall

***Match Of The Night***

This was a good old fashioned 1990's style tag team match. Tito was the man.

Rating: 2.5

5. Hulk Hogan defeated Undertaker by pinfall to win the WWF Championship

Hogan gets the belt back. Big surprise. I'm sorry, but I just can not stand Hulk Hogan.

Rating: .25

This may be the worst pay-per-view I've seen (yes, I've seen December To Dismember). We'll see when I get done with reviewing all of the shows, but this is definitely top 5 worst. Had they just removed maybe Warlord/Bulldog and replaced it with Piper/Flair (which was a dark match) and given Roberts/Savage more time, this would have been fine. No wonder this show bombed.

Royal Rumble 1997

1. Hunter Hearst Helmsley defeated Goldust by pinfall

The first half of this match was excellent. Unfortunately, things really slowed down towards the end. Still, a pretty good opener.

Rating: 2.75

2. Ahmed Johnson defeated Faarooq by disqualification

This wasn't great, but man was the crowd into Ahmed. Too bad he was injury prone.

Rating: 1.25

3. Vader defeated Undertaker by pinfall

It was nice to see Vader pick up the victory here, even if they did nothing with it. Why Vader was never given the title is still beyond me.

Rating: 2

4. Hector Garza, Perro Aguayo, and El Canek defeated Heavy Metal, Jerry Estrada, and Fuerza Guerrera by pinfall

You want to hear 50,000 people sound as quiet as possible? Watch this match.

Rating: 1

5. Steve Austin won the Royal Rumble

The first 2/3rds of the Rumble were pretty pedestrian, but once the big guns came in, this was awesome stuff. This is still one of my favorite Rumbles ever.

Rating: 3.75

6. Shawn Michaels defeated Sid by pinfall to win the WWF Championship

This was a pretty good match, but Michaels was sick and it led to Sid dominating most of the match.

Rating: 2.5

Well, the Rumble itself is great and the undercard is pretty solid. There's the feel good moment at the end and the controversial ending to the Rumble match itself. That alone makes this a fun show.

SummerSlam 1996

1. Owen Hart defeated Savio Vega by pinfall

This was a fun opener that got a good amount of time, despite there being no real story going into this match. Sometimes I forget how good Owen really was.

Rating: 3.25 (out of 5)

2. The Smoking Gunns defeated The Godwinns, The New Rockers, and The Body Donnas by pinfall

This was way too long for what it was worth. This was not a great time for tag team wrestling and it shows here.

Rating: 1

3. Sid defeated British Bulldog by pinfall

This kind of felt like a house show match. Not much else to say about it.

Rating: .75

4. Goldust defeated Marc Mero by pinfall

This was a pretty solid match, with the exception of a few sloppy spots. The crowd was pretty dead, which didn't help matters.

Rating: 2

5. Jerry Lawler defeated Jake Roberts by pinfall

This was an absolutely horrible match. Yes, I'm aware it was more of a story than a wrestling match, but it did nothing for either guy. Awful.

Rating: 0

6. Mankind defeated Undertaker in a Boiler Room Brawl

This was definitely the blueprint for many of the brawls in the late 90s. Very innovative, but at the same time, not a great wrestling match. Both guys gave a good effort, especially Foley (big surprise, huh?) and this was the beginning of Paul Bearer the heel.

Rating: 3

7. Shawn Michaels defeated Vader by pinfall

***Match Of The Night***

This was a great match. Shawn was just on a major roll at this point and I have always enjoyed watching Vader destroy the smaller wrestlers. The ending was a little so-so, but this is good stuff.

Rating: 4

Well, there is one great match, two good ones, and a bunch of filler. Not the recipe for a great show, but far from being horrible. I'd say this one is about average, thanks to Michaels and Vader.

WrestleMania XII

1. Vader, Owen Hart, and British Bulldog defeated Jake Roberts, Yokozuna, and Ahmed Johnson by pinfall

This was a fun opener that did it's job at getting the crowd involved. Plus, the right team went over and it left things open for feuds between all six men.

Rating: 2.75

2. Steve Austin defeated Savio Vega by pinfall

This was a solid match that was unfortunately held back by the Piper/Goldust story. These two gave a good effort despite that.

Rating: 2.75

3. Ultimate Warrior defeated Hunter Hearst Helmsley by pinfall

This match really hurt that Helmsley fellow's career, huh?

Rating: .25

4. Undertaker defeated Diesel by pinfall

This was a pretty darn good big man match. This was also Undertaker's first real quality opponent at WrestleMania. It's a shame Nash left after this because he was really gaining momentum as a heel.

Rating: 3

5. Roddy Piper and Goldust fought in a Hollywood Backlot Brawl

This wasn't really a match, so I can't rate it, but the actually brawling was somewhere in the middle. The whole OJ stuff was pretty lame, though.

Rating: N/R

6. Shawn Michaels defeated Bret Hart by pinfall to win the WWF Championship

***Match Of The Night***

This is one of the most legendary matches of all time and for good reason. In my opinion, these are the two greatest wrestlers I have ever seen and they prove that here. Awesome, awesome stuff.

Rating: 4.25

No one ever seems to consider this as one of the better WrestleMania's. For my money, it's a pretty solid show. It features one of my favorite WrestleMania matches of all time and a solid undercard. You can't go wrong with that.

Royal Rumble 1996

1. Ahmed Johnson defeated Jeff Jarrett by disqualification

This was the typical Ahmed slopfest, but they kept this quick paced, which helped the flow. Still, the DQ was an easy way out.

Rating: 1.25 (out of 5)

2. The Smoking Gunns defeated The Body Donnas by pinfall

This started off good, but kind of lost it's luster down the stretch. Why the WWE doesn't have some of the divas watch tapes of Sunny is beyond me. She was top notch.

Rating: 1.75

3. Goldust defeated Razor Ramon by pinfall to win the Intercontinental Championship

The first 10 minutes or so are all story with no workrate. However, they got over the Goldust character without really hurting Razor too much.

Rating: .5

4. Shawn Michaels won the Royal Rumble

This was a little predictable, but it was well booked. I loved how great Vader looked, even if they botched the rest of his run with the company.

Rating: 3.25

5. Undertaker defeated Bret Hart by disqualification

***Match Of The Night***

This was a good match, as expected. The more I watch these old shows, the more respect I have for Bret. I'm not a fan of the ending, but it led to the top two feuds at WrestleMania.

Rating: 3.75

Well, I have to say I liked this show a lot better than I remember. However, the first three matches are nothing worth seeing. The top two matches are over half of the show and are both pretty good, especially if you're a Michaels/Hart/Undertaker fan.

SummerSlam 1995

1. Hakushi defeated 1-2-3 Kid by pinfall

I love this match. Hakushi was a breath of fresh air at this time and Waltman was pretty awesome as well. You didn't see many matches like this at the time in the WWF and I still stand by this being one of the most overlooked matches in WWF history.

Rating: 4 (out of 5)

2. Hunter Hearst Helmsley defeated Bob Holly by pinfall

This was essentially an extended squash match, but it was decent for what it was.

Rating: 1.75

3. The Smoking Gunns defeated Jacob and Eli Blu by pinfall

This was a fast paced outing, which made it much more enjoyable. Had this gone longer, this probably wouldn't have been as good as it was.

Rating: 2

4. Barry Horowitz defeated Skip by pinfall

This was a great storyline and the Pittsburgh crowd ate it up. These two guys had pretty good chemistry and it led to a satisfying match.

Rating: 2.75

5. Bertha Faye defeated Alundra Blayze by pinfall to win the WWF Women's Championship

Considering Bertha Faye was in this match, this was not bad. Harvey Wippleman played his character well in this match.

Rating: 1.5

6. Undertaker defeated Kama by putting him in the casket

This was a much better match that I anticipated. Had it been 3-5 minutes shorter, it would have probably scored a better rating.

Rating: 1.75

7. Bret Hart defeated Isaac Yankem by disqualification

It's matches like this where you really see how good Bret really was. He worked his butt off, as did Yankem, and the result was a entertaining match, despite the silly story.

Rating: 3.5

8. Shawn Michaels defeated Razor Ramon in a ladder match to win the Intercontinental Championship

***Match Of The Night***

Although not as good as the first one, they came pretty darn close. There were some more creative moments in this match, but the flow wasn't as good. Still, this is another classic.

Rating: 4.5

9. Diesel defeated King Mabel by pinfall

Well, this is what most people remember. To be honest, it's not the worst match I've ever seen, but it certainly isn't good either. Bad ending to the show.

Rating: .75

I like this show a lot. Most people can't look past the fact that Mabel is in the main event, but the rest of the card ranges from solid to great. I love the opener more than most, so that definitely adds to how much I enjoyed this SummerSlam. Either way, stop watching after the ladder match and you should enjoy this show.

WrestleMania XI

1. Lex Luger and British Bulldog defeated Jacob and Eli Blu by pinfall

I still can't believe that was a match on the biggest card of the year. It's not like they had 14 matches like the old WrestleManias either. This wasn't horrible, but just pointless.

Rating: 1 (out of 5)

2. Razor Ramon defeated Jeff Jarrett by disqualification

This was a big improvement over their Royal Rumble matchup. Real solid effort by both guys and unfortunately they had the stupid DQ ending.

Rating: 3

3. Undertaker defeated King Kong Bundy by pinfall

Ugh.

Rating: .25

4. Owen Hart and Yokozuna defeated The Smoking Gunns by pinfall to win the WWF Tag Team Championships

The Gunns actually were a decent team, despite the lame gimmick. Owen was at the top of his game, there was just a little bit too much Yoko time.

Rating: 1.5

5. Bret Hart defeated Bob Backlund by submission

This is probably the only Bret Hart match I've ever seen that I've been disappointed in. This should have been better, but it felt like a Raw match.

Rating: 2

6. Diesel defeated Shawn Michaels by pinfall

***Match Of The Night***

No one seems to talk about this match, but I still think it is great. The ending is weak, but everything leading up to that point is very well done. Michaels certainly brought his A game, despite losing.

Rating: 4

7. Lawrence Taylor defeated Bam Bam Bigelow by pinfall

This is probably the best celebrity match in wrestling history. LT is a tremendous athlete and seemed to take this very seriously and it showed. Good effort to make this entertaining.

Rating: 2.5

This was a down time for WWF. The Diesel era is typically looked down upon and there wasn't a whole lot of depth on the roster. Despite that, there were two good matches on the card and an entertaining celebrity match. This show just lacked that classic WrestleMania feel, mostly because the undercard didn't feel important.

Rating: 52%

Royal Rumble 1995

1. Jeff Jarrett defeated Razor Ramon by pinfall to win the Intercontinental Championship

I remember this being better than it was. It seemed like these guys lacked chemistry at points. Most likely, it was just Scott Hall being lazy.

Rating: 2 (out of 5)

2. Undertaker defeated IRS by pinfall

Thanks to the way Undertaker was booked in this era, I don't think anyone thought IRS had any shot of beating him. However, I would gladly have taken this match over the one with King Kong Bundy at WrestleMania.

Rating: 1.25

3. Diesel and Bret Hart wrestled to a double disqualification

***Match Of The Night***

This was a very good match, despite the multiple stoppages. These two always had good chemistry together.

Rating: 3.75

4. Bob Holly and 1-2-3 Kid defeated Bam Bam Bigelow and Tatanka to win the WWF Tag Team Championships

This was a fun match even though you knew the underdogs were going to win. This also set up the Bigelow/LT fight at WrestleMania, which was a pretty fun moment.

Rating: 3.5

5. Shawn Michaels won the Royal Rumble

This was the year where there were only 1 minute intervals, making this a fast pace match. What really hurt this match was that there were hardly any big names involved. This was Shawn Michaels push to the main event.

Rating: 2.75

This is one of those shows that never really gets talked about. There were two good matches, the beginning Shawn Michaels push, and Bam Bam pushing down Lawrence Taylor. Considering the time this show occurred, and how bad WrestleMania XI was, it's even more surprising how good this show was.

Great American Bash 2008

1. Curt Hawkins and Zach Ryder defeated John Morrison and Miz, Finlay and Hornswoggle, and Jesse and Festus by pinfall to win the WWE Tag Team Championship

This was a pretty good match, but the worst team in there went over. I don't agree with that finish whatsoever.

Rating: 2.25

2. Shelton Benjamin defeated Matt Hardy by pinfall to win the US Championship

This was a really well-paced match that the crowd was into. There were a few sloppy spots that dragged this down a tad, but I enjoyed this match.

5. Michelle McCool defeated Natalya by submission to win the Divas Championship

This is another match where the wrong person went over. I would have to say that McCool is one of my least favorite divas and has no potential. I guess it helps when you're hanging around with Undertaker.

Rating: .5

6. Batista defeated CM Punk by disqualification

This started off slow, but was starting to build towards something and then Kane comes out and interferes. Terrible, terrible ending. Looking back, the Batista/Kane angle never turned into anything, making it even worse to watch this.

8. Triple H defeated Edge by pinfall

This was a real solid match and the interference actually made sense. However, this was not the classic that I think these two are capable of. I think somewhere down the line we will see a great one between these two.

Rating: 3.5

Well, on one hand you have three real enjoyable matches on here. But there are also a couple of duds and a few terrible booking decisions. While the Jericho/HBK match definitely is worth seeing, this show is somewhere in the middle in terms of quality.

I remember being totally shocked when this happened. I was a Hogan Hater as a child and was so excited that he finally lost. Of course, he won it back a few days later, but this gets bumped up for the shock value. Yes, the match was really bad.

Rating: .5

4. The Nasty Boys and The Beverly Brothers defeated The Rockers and The Bushwackers by pinfall

Thank God the Bushwackers were out of there quick. This was more of a storyline (the Rockers breakup) than a match, but there were a few good moments in there.

5. Big Boss Man and Legion Of Doom defeated IRS and The Natural Disasters by pinfall

2. Fabulous Moolah, Rockin' Robin, Velvet McIntyre, and The Jumping Bomb Angels defeated Sensational Sherri, The Glamour Girls, Donna Christanello, and Dawn Marie by pinfall

3. Strike Force, The British Bulldogs, The Young Stallions, The Killer Bees, and The Fabulous Rougeaus defeated The Hart Foundation, Demolition, The Bolsheviks, The New Dream Team, and The Islanders by pinfall

This was an interesting match, as the match contained 20 superstars. I'd hate to see the WWE do one of these matches this year. It's just a shame that tag team wrestling isn't what it once was.

Rating: 3.25

4. Andre The Giant, King Kong Bundy, One Man Gang, Rick Rude, and Butch Reed defeated Hulk Hogan, Ken Patera, Paul Orndorff, Bam Bam Bigelow, and Don Muraco by pinfall

It was nice to see the heels go over in the main event, as that didn't happen too often in the early WWF days. However, it's a shame they didn't allow Rude to pick up the win, as Andre was already past his prime as a draw and the other guys were useless.

Survivor: Andre The Giant

Rating: 3

With only 4 matches on the card, there was little room for error. However, all of the matches are entertaining, but none of them are real standouts. This is the first Survivor Series, giving it historical significance, and the action is better than most of the WWF stuff at this time. All in all, this is a worthwhile show.

Night Of Champions 2008

1. John Morrison + Miz defeated Finlay + Hornswoggle by pinfall

This was fun TV-like match. I don't like the heels having to sell to Hornswoggle as much as they did, but everyone performed well and as a result, this was entertaining.

2. Matt Hardy defeated Chavo Guerrero by pinfall

I like both of these guys, but they both looked a little off on this night. Still, this was okay.

3. Mark Henry defeated Kane and Big Show to win the ECW Championship

Well, this wasn't quite as horrible as expected. Still, it was slow and boring and not worth watching.

4. Ted Dibiase + Cody Rhodes defeated Hardcore Holly + Cody Rhodes by pinfall to win the World Tag Team Championship

This was just an angle to turn Cody Rhodes heel and to get Hardcore Holly off TV.

5. Kofi Kingston defeated Chris Jericho to win the Intercontinental Championship

I really liked the way these two paced the match and built to a big finish that involved Shawn Michaels distracting Jericho to allow Kofi to get the big victory.

6. Mickie James defeated Katie Lea Burchill by pinfall

I don't get why the WWE is so down on Paul Burchill. I think he's been a lot more effective than his "sister".

Rating: .75

7. Edge defeated Batista by pinfall

This was a really good match, but the finish left me unsatisfied. Yes, it was quite entertaining to see Vickie Guerrero thrown out of the ring, but the rest was screwy.

Rating: 3.25

8. Triple H defeated John Cena by pinfall

***Match Of The Night***

I have to say that I think I liked this match better than their WrestleMania matchup (I'll get to that show one of these days). The crowd was nowhere as entertaining, but I feel that this matchup was a little bit stronger. This continued the John Cena Job Tour 2008.

Rating: 3.75

Well, this show was pretty hit or miss, but for the most part was pretty good. Three good matches towards the end make you (almost) forget about the big man match and some of the other disappointments. Decent show.

SummerSlam 1994

1. IRS + Bam Bam Bigelow defeated The Headshrinkers by disqualification

Both teams gave a good effort here and it was actually going quite well until the stupid ending. I don't like dq's on pay-per-views, but I hate dq's on the first match even more.

Rating: 2 (out of 5)

2. Alundra Blayze defeated Bull Nakano by pinfall

This is probably one of the best women's matches I can recall. The crowd was into it, the competitors kept the match at a good pace, and the chemistry was there. It's too bad we don't see too many womens matches like this.

Rating: 3.25

3. Razor Ramon defeated Diesel by pinfall to win the Intercontinental Championship

Say what you will about the kliq during this time period, but when they fought each other, it was almost always a good match. This was no exception. Probably both guy's best match that didn't involve Shawn Michaels or Bret Hart.

Rating: 3.5

4. Tatanka defeated Lex Luger by pinfall

This was the match where Tatanka turned heel, which in retrospect, was pretty much the end of Tatanka's success in the WWF. This was more of a storyline than an actual match.

5. Jeff Jarrett defeated Mabel by pinfall

This always seemed like a strange matchup to have on a big show. Luckily, the right man won.

Rating: .25

6. Bret Hart defeated Owen Hart by escaping the cage

***Match Of The Night***

The workrate in this match is just off the charts. These guys went full tilt for about 40 minutes. It's just a shame that the show did not end here.

Rating: 4.75

7. Undertaker defeated Fake Undertaker by pinfall

Yes, this is that match. Why, Vince, why?

Rating: 0

Well, half of this show rocks the house. The crowd was phenomenal and you have one of the best matches of the 90s on the card. However, you also have one of the worst main events in WWF/E history. Still, with one all time classic and some other good matches on the card, this show is definitely worth watching. Just pretend the cage match is the last match.

WrestleMania X

1. Owen Hart defeated Bret Hart by pinfall

Hands down one of the greatest matches in history and it's not even the best match on the card. These two told one heck of a story and the workrate here was incredible. What an awesome start to a show.

Rating: 5 (out of 5)

2. Bam Bam Bigelow and Luna defeated Doink and Dink by pinfall

Call me crazy, but this wasn't terrible. It wasn't a good wrestling match, but it was entertaining.

3. Macho Man defeated Crush by pinfall

When I first saw this, I thought it was hardcore, but now it seems quite tame. Savage was always entertaining, while Crush sucked.

4. Alundra Blayze defeated Leilani Kai by pinfall

This was just kind of there, but at the same time they gave a good effort. Blayze wasn't half bad.

5. Men On A Mission defeated The Quebecers by countout

This was actually quite fun. The ending had no place on the biggest show of the year, but the rest was solid.

Rating: 2.5

6. Yokozuna defeated Lex Luger by disqualification

Mr. Perfect made this a little bit more interesting than it was, but it still was just okay. Luger as a face just never really did it for me, although I would have liked to have seen Hart vs. Luger.

Rating: .75

7. Earthquake defeated Adam Bomb by pinfall

Not sure why this was even on the card or why Earthquake won in a squash?

8. Razor Ramon defeated Shawn Michaels in a ladder match to win the Intercontinental Championship

***Match Of The Night***

This is without a doubt one of the greatest matches ever. Two 5's at one show. Incredible match.

9. Bret Hart defeated Yokozuna by pinfall to win the WWF Championship

The finish was kind of lame but Bret knew how to get the best out of the big man. A good ending to a good show.

Rating: 2.5

Well, let's see. This show has two of the greatest matches ever on the card, plus Bret Hart getting his apology from Vince. The rest may not be anything to write home about, but the pacing of the show was really good and everything was entertaining. Awesome show and the greatest WrestleMania up to this point.

Royal Rumble 1994

1. Tatanka defeated Bam Bam Bigelow by pinfall

This was nothing special, but they both worked pretty hard, making this a passable opener.

Rating: 1.5 (out of 5)

2. The Quebecers defeated Bret and Owen Hart by referee stoppage

This match is famous as being the match where Owen turned heel and started the big Hart vs. Hart program that produced some of the greatest matches in WWE history. This match was also pretty darn good as well.

Rating: 3.75

3. Razor Ramon defeated IRS by pinfall

Why was Razor never in the actual Royal Rumble match? This was a pretty screwy match.

Rating: 1.5

4. Yokozuna defeated Undertaker by placing him in the casket

How many men does it take to put the Undertaker in a casket? Apparently, a whole bunch. Shouldn't they have instructed them to all come out at once, rather than one at a time? This is probably one of my least favorite matches I have ever seen on a WWF pay-per-view.

Rating: 0

5. Lex Luger and Bret Hart won the Royal Rumble

The most memorable moment of this Rumble, other than the finish, was the emergence of Diesel. This was his first big moment as a singles star. The entire Bret Hart storyline was well done and the tie made for an exciting finish. If only it didn't lead to Luger/Yokozuna at WrestleMania...

Rating: 3.5

This show is pretty good, featuring a great storyline and a couple of good matches. However, the one dud on the show, is one of the biggest duds in WWF/E history. Still, this is worth watching because it's the Royal Rumble and Bret Hart is just simply the man.

SummerSlam 1993

1. Razor Ramon defeated Ted Dibiase by pinfall

This was Ted Dibiase's last match before retirement. Not a bad opener. It's kind of weird watching a WWF show at the Palace. This was the only pay-per-view they ever held there.

Rating: 2.25

2. The Steiner Brothers defeated The Heavenly Bodies by pinfall

This was a fun tag team match. I truly miss that there is no tag team division anymore. All it takes is a few teams that can go, but that's another story for another time. Good match.

Rating: 3

3. Shawn Michaels defeated Mr. Perfect by countout

***Match Of The Night***

This is an early 90's dream match between two of the finest wrestlers of that era. While this isn't a classic, this is still an entertaining match, although with a lame finish.

Rating: 3.5

4. IRS defeated 1-2-3 Kid by pinfall

Waltman was a breath of fresh air at this point in time and it's unfortunate that these two didn't get a few more minutes. Still, they made the most of their opportunity and had a good little match.

Rating: 2.25

5. Bret Hart defeated Doink by disqualification

Jerry Lawler faked an injury to get out of his match against Bret, so we get Bret vs. Doink instead. Not a bad match, but it was ultimately just to reveal that Lawler was not hurt and give Bret his second match of the evening.

Rating: 2.25

6. Jerry Lawler defeated Bret Hart by disqualification

This was more of a storyline than a match, but an entertaining one. Lawler always played a great heel, especially when working with Bret.

Rating: 3.25

7. Ludvig Borga defeated Marty Jannetty by submission

Well, they had to have at least one squash match on here. Jannetty always took a good beating, even if was to a slouch like Borga.

8. Undertaker defeated Giant Gonzales by pinfall

This actually may have been worse than WrestleMania. This is the only real negative to the show.

Rating: 0

9. Tatanka and The Smoking Gunns defeated Bam Bam Bigelow and The Headshrinkers by pinfall

This was a fun matchup and got a good amount of time. You don't see matches like this on WWE pay-per-view anymore.

Rating: 3.25

10. Lex Luger defeated Yokozuna by countout

This is still one of the strangest booking decisions that I've seen in my years watching wrestling. They hyped Luger up and shoved him down our throats, all to have him win by countout? And then they celebrate like he did the impossible. Last time I checked, Hulk Hogan beat him in about 10 seconds. Stupid. It's too bad because both guys actually gave a good effort.

Rating: 1

This show is kind of a forgotten one, possibly because of the stupidity of the main event. But in reality, this was a good show. The only real dud was the Undertaker match, but that's why they invented the fast forward button.

WrestleMania IX

1. Tatanka defeated Shawn Michaels by countout

***Match Of The Night***

This was actually a real solid match. This was probably the peak of Tatanka's popularity and he was still undefeated at the time. I have no idea why they booked this match if they didn't want to do a clean finish, but at least this match was good, unlike the majority of this card.

Rating: 3 (out of 5)

2. The Steiner Brothers defeated The Headshrinkers by pinfall

This is the lone WrestleMania for the Steiners and this was another solid match. It was right around this time that the WWF Tag Team scene really started to stink.

Rating: 2.5

3. Doink defeated Crush by pinfall

I think I'm the only person who kind of enjoyed the heel Doink. Crush, on the other hand, not so much. This match is memorable for the fact that a second Doink helped Doink win the match.

Rating: .5

4. Razor Ramon defeated Bob Backlund by pinfall

This was kind of an odd match up and I have no idea why they only gave these two guys just 4 minutes. Ramon was one of the top heels and it seemed as if they were pushing Backlund as a top mid-card guy. It's little things like this that makes this show an odd one.

5. Money Inc. defeated The Megamaniacs by disqualification

This match was pretty terrible and proof that Hogan was not nearly as popular as he once was. Sadly, this was just the beginning of Hogan's night.

6. The Narcissist defeated Mr. Perfect by pinfall

Luger looked pretty sluggish and unfortunately not even Mr. Perfect could save this match.

7. Undertaker defeated Giant Gonzales by disqualification

This is infamous for being horrible and I don't even know if horrible is a strong enough word. Luckily, Gonzales didn't last too much longer.

Rating: 0

8. Yokozuna defeated Bret Hart by pinfall to win the WWF Championship

Bret gave quite the performance here and I think that is sometimes forgotten thanks to the awful moment that came afterwords. Bret would get his revenge in a year.

Rating: 1.75

9. Hulk Hogan defeated Yokozuna by pinfall to win the WWF Championship

Hands down, the worst moment in WrestleMania history. Sure, there have been some bad ones here and there, but this one is the biggest ego trip of all time. Hogan, you suck.

Rating: 0

This show is bad for a lot of reasons, but most notably Hulk Hogan. He just couldn't stand playing second fiddle to Bret Hart. Vince gave in to Hogan at this point in time, but later learned his lesson. Beyond that, nothing is really memorable, with the exception of how bad the Undertaker/Gonzales match is.

This was a fun Rumble, but most definitely not one of the best. It seemed kind of predictable that Yokozuna was going to win.

Rating: 3

This is what I would call an average show. The Rumble itself is always fun and Bret put on a good showing. The tag match and Intercontinental match were disappointing and the other match was just horrible. This show is definitely worth watching, especially for Bret fans and Rumble fans, but nothing worth rushing out to see.

One Night Stand 2008

1. Jeff Hardy defeated Umaga by pinfall

I liked this match better upon second viewing. It started off being a fun little brawl, but the ending just comes off a little too planned and fake.

Rating: 2.25 (out of 5)

2. Big Show defeated John Morrison, Chavo Guerrero, CM Punk, and Tommy Dreamer by pinfall

Call me crazy, but I thought this was a really good match. All five men put in a real solid effort and it came across as a good, violent match.

3. John Cena defeated JBL by JBL bleeding first

This was more entertaining than their Judgment Day match, but first blood matches are definitely not the most exciting specialty matches. The endings never are exciting and this one was no different. However, this was solid and JBL came across as an effective heel.

5. Batista defeated Shawn Michaels in a Stretcher Match

This was a little bit more story than match, but that's okay since this is one of the best storylines in WWE history. It's amazing that at this point of his career, Shawn Michaels is still the best.

Rating: 3.5

6. Triple H defeated Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing Match

It's always hard to rate a match where one of the competitors gets injured. The entire ending was changed on the fly due to Orton's broken collarbone, so we only got to see about half of a match. Things were going pretty well, but not as good as their No Mercy 2007 match.

Rating: 2

7. Edge defeated Undertaker to win the World Heavyweight Championship in a TLC Match

***Match Of The Night***

The criticism on this match is that they just set up spots as opposed to having a match that featured spots. That is definitely true to a point, but these guys also put on a heck of a show. The match was brutal and intense and both performers did a great job of portraying the hatred that they have for one another.

Rating: 4

This was another good show for the WWE in 2008. The nice thing on this show was that there was nothing that was terrible. Everything was watchable and most of it was darn entertaining. This was a big improvement over the 2007 version and a show worth purchasing on DVD.

Most seem to think that this is the best rumble ever and I really just don't see it. Ric Flair put on a heck of a show, but I feel that the supporting stories were weak. Kind of like a lot of Johnny Depp movies.

Rating: 3.5

Well, there are definitely some good highlights here. You have both Piper and Flair's best WWF moments, but you also have a few matches thare are pretty bad. However, the Rumble takes up the majority of the time and that was good, so that makes this an easy thumbs up. Plus the Foundation/Express match is good stuff as well. Good show.

This really is a typical show from this era. A few good matches, a few squashes, and a few matches that should have never happened. 13. The Mountie defeated Tito Santana by pinfall

Another loss for Tito.

Rating: .25

14. Hulk Hogan defeated Sgt. Slaughter by pinfall to win the WWF Championship

This wasn't half bad minus the terrible story line and predictable finish. Both guys gave a solid effort.

Rating: 2

I like this show a lot. Yes, it was the first pay-per-view I ever ordered, but it is a good show, especially for the time period. Still, there were a lot of great moments that make this show very memorable.

SummerSlam 1990

1. Power and Glory defeated The Rockers by pinfall

This was actually a very fun match, despite Shawn Michaels not being involved at all. The crowd was super hot and the action was spirited. Good opener.

Rating: 3 (out of 5)

2. Texas Tornado defeated Mr. Perfect by pinfall to win the Intercontinental Championship

The match was very similar to the Demolition/Colossal Connection match at WrestleMania VI. Not a great match, great moment.

Rating: 1.5

3. The Warlord defeated Tito Santana by pinfall

Poor Tito. Such a good worker, yet he never won.

Rating: .75

4. The Hart Foundation defeated Demoltion by pinfall to win the Tag Team Championships

***Match Of The Night***

This was a good match and it seems like the tag teams in this era always put on the best matches.

Rating: 3.25

5. Jake Roberts defeated Bad News Brown by disqualification

Snakes vs. sewer rats. Yeah, this was bad.

Rating: .25

6. Jim Duggan and Nikolai Volkoff defeated The Orient Express by pinfall

This was a Superstars quality squash.

Rating: .5

7. Randy Savage defeated Dusty Rhodes by pinfall

The storyline with Sapphire overshadowed this match. Only in 1990 would these two have a match that lasted 4 minutes.

Rating: .5

8. Hulk Hogan defeated Earthquake by countout

Since when is Hogan happy with winning by countout? Stupid.

Rating: .5

9. Ultimate Warrior defeated Rick Rude by escape

This was pretty good, but it didn't have that big match feel. It was better than I remember though.

Rating: 1.75

This was the first pay-per-view I ever saw back when I didn't even know what wrestling was, so that alone gives me a little more reason to like this show. There are two good matches here, but the middle of the show is pretty bad. Still, it is worth watching if you like this time period.

WrestleMania VI

1. Rick Martel defeated Koko B. Ware by pinfall

Nothing special, but not bad either. It would have been nice to see Martel have a match against a more legit competitor, however.

Rating: 1 (out of 5)

2. Demolition defeated The Colossal Connection by pinfall to win the Tag Team Championships

The match itself is nothing to write home about, but the pop from the crowd when Demolition wins is priceless. Awesome moment.

Rating: .75

3. Earthquake defeated Hercules by pinfall

I don't think anyone in the building thought Herc had a chance. Next.

Rating: .5

4. Brutus Beefcake defeated Mr. Perfect by pinfall

Why? Why would Beefcake ever beat Mr. Perfect? I guess that's the benefit of being friends with Hogan.

Rating: 1.5

5. Roddy Piper and Bad News Brown wrestled to a double countout

Put this in the forgettable department.

Rating: .75

6. The Hart Foundation defeated The Bolsheviks by pinfall

This was just a squash.

Rating: .25

7. Barbarian defeated Tito Santana by pinfall

Not too bad, but there was no heat or real story being told.

Rating: .75

8. Dusty Rhodes and Sapphire defeated Randy Savage and Sherri by pinfall

These guys were capable of so much more than what we have here. This was pretty brutal.

Rating: .25

9. The Orient Express defeated The Rockers by countout

This is honestly the only match I ever remember The Orient Express winning. Of course it was against my favorite tag team.

Rating: 2

10. Jim Duggan defeated Dino Bravo by pinfall

Typical 5 minute Duggan match. Next.

Rating: .5

11. Ted Dibiase defeated Jake Roberts by pinfall

This felt like it should have been better. Things were going well and then it kind of fell apart.

Rating: 1.25

12. Big Boss Man defeated Akeem by pinfall

This was when Boss Man moved to the upper mid-card. Other than that, it was a squash.

Rating: .25

13. Rick Rude defeated Jimmy Snuka by pinfall

This match should have gotten a few more minutes. Although, with the time they were given, it still wasn't that great.

Rating: .75

14. Ultimate Warrior defeated Hulk Hogan by pin to win the WWF Championship

***Match Of The Night***

This match is not great because of the action, but more so due to the fact that you really had no idea who was going to win. These two egomaniacs put on a pretty good match that will be remembered because of the hot crowd and surprise ending.

Rating: 2.75

Overall, this show is just overwhelming. However, none of the matches are long enough to be horrible, so it never really feels boring. If you were a fan of this era, you might like this show, but if not, don't bother checking out anything but the main event.

SummerSlam 1989

1. The Brain Busters defeated the Hart Foundation by pinfall

***Match Of The Night***

This was a great opener for the show. I'm kind of surprised the Busters got the win in a non-title match, which makes you wonder why they didn't just put the titles on the line. Oh well. It was good stuff.

Rating: 3.75

2. Dusty Rhodes defeated Honky Tonk Man by pinfall

They seemed to try and make this a classic except it was very basic and dull, leaving the crowd bored in the end.

Rating: .5

3. Mr. Perfect defeated Red Rooster by pinfall

This probably would have been a good match, except Rooster got hurt and they had to end it abruptly. Too bad, it could have been pretty good.

Rating: .25

4. Rick Martel and The Rougeaus defeated Tito Santana and The Rockers

This was a fun match and actually better than I remembered. Looking at who was involved, they would have really had to have been off to make this match bad.

Rating: 3.5

5. Ultimate Warrior defeated Rick Rude to win the Intercontinental Championship

This was a big step up from their WrestleMania match. Both guys were feeling it and it made for a good match.

Rating: 2.75

6. Jim Duggan and Demolition defeated Andre The Giant and The Twin Towers by pinfall

Considering who was involved, this was a fun match. It's kind of odd that they put on two 6 man tag matches.

Rating: 1

7. Hercules defeated Greg Valentine by disqualification

This was pretty much just to set up the Ronnie Garvin/Valentine feud. Hercules is one of those guys that no one mentions anymore. Not hard to see why.

Rating: .5

8. Ted Dibiase defeated Jimmy Snuka by countout

This was a disappointing match. I really thought this could have been good, yet there was nothing to it.

Rating: .75

9. Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake defeated Randy Savage and Zeus

Three of these guys are guys who are awful wrestlers. Yet, every once in awhile, if everything is in place, even the worst performers can pull off good matches. This was pretty good.

Rating: 2

I would say that this was a step up from the previous SummerSlam and overall a good show. It lost some steam at the end, which is never a good thing, but the main event provided some entertaining moments.

WrestleMania V

1. Hercules defeated King Haku by pinfall

This is not exactly a match I would pick to open my biggest show of the year. I've always liked Haku, but this is not a good match.

Rating: .25 (out of 5)

2. The Twin Towers defeated The Rockers by pinfall

***Match Of The Night***

This was a real fun match and probably the match the crowd was most into, outside of the main event. Unfortunately, this was the highlight of the night, at least in my opinion.

Rating: 2.75

3. Brutus Beefcake and Ted Dibiase wrestled to a double countout

The crowd was absolutely silent throughout this match and it stunk. Why are there so many non-finishes on this show? Would it have really killed them to put Dibiase over fricken Beefcake?
Rating: .5

4. The Bushwackers defeated The Rougeaus by pinfall

All I can say is, why?

Rating: .25

5. Mr. Perfect defeated Blue Blazer by pinfall

This is one that you wish could have gone just a little bit longer, because it felt like they were just getting going. Two great wrestlers, may they rest in peace.

Rating: 2.25

6. Demolition defeated The Powers Of Pain and Mr. Fuji by pinfall

Two teams that looked tough, but only one was good. This was just kind of blah.

Rating: .5

7. Dino Bravo defeated Ronnie Garvin

Another match the crowd didn't really care about. This definitely is one of the worst crowds in WrestleMania history.

Rating: .75

8. The Brain Busters defeated Strike Force by pinfall

This could have been a great match, but they did the whole Strike Force breakup, which was entertaining as well. It just didn't make this a great match.

Rating: 2

9. Jake Roberts defeated Andre The Giant by disqualification

This match is bad. Like Giant Gonzales/Undertaker bad.

Rating: 0

10. The Hart Foundation defeated Honky Tonk Man and Greg Valentine by pinfall

This was okay, but I would have much rather have seen the Harts take on someone else. Or at least give Valentine a different partner.

Rating: 2

11. Rick Rude defeated Ultimate Warrior by pinfall to win the Intercontinental Championship

This was memorable more because it was kind of shocking that Rude won, not because it was a great match. Their match at SummerSlam would be much better.

Rating: 1.5

12. Jim Duggan and Bad News Brown wrestled to a double disqualification

This was just an excuse to get both guys on the card and have a no finish.

Rating: .25

13. Red Rooster defeated Bobby Heenan by pinfall

I still don't understand how the Rooster wasn't huge.

Rating: .25

14. Hulk Hogan defeated Randy Savage by pinfall to win the WWF Championship

This was a solid match that felt important. Hogan gave one of his better efforts and Savage was his usual stellar self. I just don't think it's anywhere near as good as everyone else seems to think.

Rating: 2.25

This was definitely a step up from the previous year's WrestleMania. However, there are still too many matches and not enough good ones to really make this a "great" show. It is still worth a look, just get ready to fast forward through a lot of the matches.

Judgment Day 2008

1. John Cena defeated JBL by pinfall

This was actually slightly more entertaining than I remember. I still love their match from Judgment Day three years back, but this was not even close to that one. Nothing horrible, but definitely not their best work either.

Rating: 2.25 (out of 5)

2. The Miz and John Morrison defeated Kane and CM Punk by pinfall

This was on the short side, but fun for the time given. I love the team of Miz + Morrison and of course CM Punk is another favorite of mine. It needed about 5 minutes more because the ending came out of nowhere.

Rating: 2.5 (out of 5)

3. Shawn Michaels defeated Chris Jericho by pinfall

***Match Of The Night***

This was an awesome match courtesy of my two favorite performers of all time. I loved all of the reversals and the spot where Jericho hit the Code Breaker was phenomenal. While this wasn't as good as WrestleMania XIX, it is most definitely one of the best matches of the year thus far.

Rating: 4 (out of 5)

4. Mickie James defeated Melina and Beth Phoenix by pinfall

This was a solid women's match that really showcased the talents of Mickie James. All three women worked hard and delivered a solid match.

Rating: 2.25 (out of 5)

5. Undertaker defeated Edge by countout

No one likes to see a countout finish, especially a weak one like this one. This was definitely the worst match of their series, but still a good match.

Rating: 3.25

6. Jeff Hardy defeated MVP by pinfall

I don't really agree with Hardy winning so cleanly. MVP seems to never win and I think it has hurt him with the fans. It was nice to see him get the win over Hardy recently at SummerSlam.

Rating: 2.5

7. Triple H defeated Randy Orton by pinfall

This was a good, old-fashioned cage match. It lacked the blood, but the pacing and storytelling was good. It was lacking that special something from making it a classic, but still a good main event.

Rating: 3.5

Apparently, I seem to like this show more than most. It is probably due to the fact that I loved the Michaels/Jericho matchup and found everything else to range from solid to good. The crowd was flat, but the wrestling was entertaining throughout the night.
