WrestleMania VII

1. The Rockers defeated Haku and Barbarian by pinfall

Call me crazy, but I love this match. The crowd was digging it, the action was fast paced, and my favorite tag team overcame the fact that their opponents were twice their size. Classic 90s wrestling.

Rating: 4 (out of 5)

2. Texas Tornado defeated Dino Bravo by pinfall

This match really didn't belong on the card. This was one of the few matches the crowd didn't care about.

Rating: .25

3. British Bulldog defeated Warlord by pinfall

This was a decent power match that was pretty much carried by the Bulldog. Not bad.

Rating: 1.5

4. The Nasty Boys defeated The Hart Foundation to win the Tag Team Championships

Real solid tag team match that was probably the best match the Nastys had in the WWF. This of course led to Bret's now legendary solo run.

Rating: 3.25

5. Jake Roberts defeated Rick Martel by pinfall

As a kid, a blindfold match seemed like a cool idea. Looking back, we all know it wasn't. A standard match would have probably been pretty good too.

Rating: .25

6. Undertaker defeated Jimmy Snuka by pinfall

This was just to make Undertaker look like an unstoppable monster. Looking back 17 years later, I think they succeeded.

Rating: .5

7. Ultimate Warrior defeated Randy Savage by pinfall

***Match Of The Night***

I'm not sure if there was ever a better story told in a match. This is definitely Warrior's best match ever, which most of the credit goes to Savage for working at 210%. From the Warrior kicking out of multiple elbow drops to the reuniting of Savage and Elizabeth, this is as memorable of a match as there was in the 90s.

Rating: 4.25

8. Tenryu and Kitao defeated Demolition by pinfall

This was another match that no one cared about, including the performers.

Rating: .25

9. Big Boss Man defeated Mr. Perfect by disqualifcation

This was going good until the silly ending, which was just an excuse to get Andre out there.

Rating: 2.75

10. Earthquake defeated Greg Valentine by pinfall

I think we all saw this finish coming from a mile away.

Rating: .5

11. Legion Of Doom defeated Power and Glory by pinfall

Pretty much just a sloppy one minute squash.

Rating: .25

12. Virgil defeated Ted Dibiase by countout

Disappointing match, but they would have a much better match at SummerSlam.

Rating: .75

13. The Mountie defeated Tito Santana by pinfall

Another loss for Tito.

Rating: .25

14. Hulk Hogan defeated Sgt. Slaughter by pinfall to win the WWF Championship

This wasn't half bad minus the terrible story line and predictable finish. Both guys gave a solid effort.

Rating: 2

I like this show a lot. Yes, it was the first pay-per-view I ever ordered, but it is a good show, especially for the time period. Still, there were a lot of great moments that make this show very memorable.
