Survivor Series 1991

1. Ric Flair, Ted Dibiase, Warlord, and The Mountie defeated Bret Hart, Roddy Piper, Virgil, and British Bulldog by disqualification

***Match Of The Night***

This was a fun Survivor Series match that the crowd was really into. I also like that Ric Flair escapes with a win by outsmarting the other wrestlers, even if it wasn't really dq-worthy. Good match.

Survivor: Ric Flair

Rating: 3.25

2. Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Sgt. Slaughter, Texas Tornado, and El Matador defeated Col. Mustafa, Skinner, Berzerker, and Hercules by pinfall

Boy, was this sloppy. Although, looking at the competitors in this match, is that a surprise?

Survivors: Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Sgt. Slaughter, Texas Tornado, and El Matador

Rating: .25

3. Undertaker defeated Hulk Hogan by pinfall to win the WWF Championship

I remember being totally shocked when this happened. I was a Hogan Hater as a child and was so excited that he finally lost. Of course, he won it back a few days later, but this gets bumped up for the shock value. Yes, the match was really bad.

Rating: .5

4. The Nasty Boys and The Beverly Brothers defeated The Rockers and The Bushwackers by pinfall

Thank God the Bushwackers were out of there quick. This was more of a storyline (the Rockers breakup) than a match, but there were a few good moments in there.

Survivors: The Nasty Boys and Blake Beverly

Rating: 2

5. Big Boss Man and Legion Of Doom defeated IRS and The Natural Disasters by pinfall

This was just to give the fans a happy ending. Even if there was no Randy Savage involved. Needless to say, this is one of the weakest main events (in terms of star power) in WWF/E history.

Survivors: The Legion Of Doom

Rating: 1.5

Overall, this show is basically known for the Undertaker winning his first title and Hulk Hogan actually losing. Other than that, there is one good match. This is most definitely not one of the best shows of this time period.

Overall Rating: 49%
