1. Edge defeated Shawn Michaels by pinfall

Wow, on paper, this is quite the opener. This was a fun match, even if the ending was a bit botched.

2. Undertaker defeated Heidenreich in a Casket Match

This was actually a pretty entertaining match. Trust me, I'm shocked that I even wrote that.

3. JBL defeated Big Show and Kurt Angle by pinfall

This was a really good triple threat match and I was expecting one. These three guys really worked well with one another and delivered in a spot where they didn't necessarily have to.

Rating: 3.75

4. Triple H defeated Randy Orton by pinfall

This was one of their better matches together. Most people don't agree, but I thought it told a good story and it led to Orton's heel turn.

5. Batista won the Royal Rumble

This is my favorite Rumble of all time, which is saying something because I did not see this show live. The ending was kind of strange, but the rest was non-stop.

Rating: 4.25

This is without a doubt one of the best non-WrestleMania shows of all time. I haven't really heard anyone else who has said that, but I can't name too many shows that were this good all the way through that didn't have the name WrestleMania attached to it. It was nice to see them bounce back from a couple of duds the previous months.
