WrestleMania XX

1. John Cena defeated Big Show by pinfall to win the US Championship

This was a bit of an odd start, but it did deliver the huge pop for Cena's win. Can you believe a New York crowd actually cheered Cena? Hypocrites.

Rating: 1.5 (out of 5)

2. Rob Van Dam + Booker T defeated Jindrak + Cade, The Dudleyz, and La Resistance by pinfall

This was an okay match, but it would have been better had it just been two teams. This was them cramming everyone they could onto this card.

Rating: 1.75

3. Christian defeated Chris Jericho by pinfall

After a bit of a sluggish start, the show got going here. These two told a great story and had a real good match. The Trish heel turn was just the icing on the cake.

Rating: 4

4. Randy Orton, Batista, + Ric Flair defeated The Rock + Mick Foley by pinfall

This one probably should have been on later in the show, probably in the spot where the Lesnar/Goldberg match ended up going. This was a real fun match and unfortunately was Rock's last match ever.

Rating: 3.75

5. Torrie Wilson + Sable defeated Stacy + Jackie by pinfall

Considering these girls were wrestling in their underwear, this wasn't too bad. This one should have probably flip-flopped with the other womens match.

Rating: .5

6. Chavo Guerrero defeated Tajiri, Rey Mysterio, Jamie Noble, Billy Kidman, Funaki, Shannon Moore, Ultimo Dragon, and Nunzio by pinfall

I really enjoyed this match, even if it was way too short. At this time, this was a pretty solid cruiserweight division, but it sure didn't last long.

Rating: 2.75

7. Goldberg defeated Brock Lesnar by pinfall

This is a tough match to rate. It's definitely memorable, but in the wrong way. The crowd knew both guys were leaving and the performers got a negative reaction. The actual match was horrendous.

Rating: .5

8. Scotty 2 Hotty + Rikishi defeated APA, The World's Greatest Tag Team, and The Bashams by pinfall

This was another one that would have made a better one on one match. Benjamin and Haas should have probably won this, but they moved Shelton to Raw shortly after.

Rating: 2

9. Victoria defeated Molly Holly by pinfall

This was a solid womens match that had a satisfying ending. Not bad at all.

Rating: 1.5

10. Eddie Guerrero defeated Kurt Angle by pinfall

I will say that this was not as good as I remembered, but it was still darn good. Eddie finally got his moment on a grand stage.

Rating: 4

11. Undertaker defeated Kane by pinfall

This one still kind of baffles me. They built up Kane to look unstoppable (again). They had him fight his brother at WrestleMania (again). This time, they made him look like a total jobber. Why have Undertaker fight him again if this was nothing more than a glorified squash? Also, this match had no business being on this late in the card.

Rating: 1.5

12. Chris Benoit defeated Triple H and Shawn Michaels by submission to win the World Heavyweight Championship

***Match Of The Night***

Now this is a triple threat match. This was non-stop action from bell to bell with drama galore. Would the WWE actually give Benoit the belt on their biggest show ever? They sure did. Say what you will about Triple H, but he was selling like a champ and even tapped out to give Benoit the belt. It's just too bad that this moment is no longer as special as it should be.

Rating: 5

Wow, that's a lot of matches. Some of the stuff on this card was unnecessary, but overall this had a big show feel. You have 4 matches that got a 3.75 or higher and one of them is one of the greatest matches I have ever witnessed. That alone is worth it, if you can get past the fact that it involves Chris Benoit. This is not necessarily the greatest WrestleMania, but it is defintely among the best the WWE has put on.
